1. Is it a quality product which you can rely on?
We have tested a number of other induction products which are aimed at the professional catering sector.
One product tested had no filter, which offers no protection to the internal structure of the unit. Another product tested had a filter which was difficult to remove. If it became clogged, the unit would overheat and burn out the pcb's, resulting in significant service costs. Yet another unit had a plastic internal casing which could melt, as there was no effective inbuilt protection against overheating.

At Induced Energy, we have spent two years on the complete redesign of a world-beating product range, with a wealth of unique features.
All Induced Energy hobs display a “Clean Filter” warning if the filter is beginning to impede the ventilation flow. If this is ignored, the system uses sensitive temperature detection to ensure that power is interrupted before over-heating can occur. This eliminates a common cause of service calls and expensive remedial work.

All Induced Energy hobs carry a full 2-year parts and labour warranty, and are designed, manufactured and supported in the UK. We really do know the product we are selling.

2. Is it powerful enough?
Commercial induction hobs quite often offer less than 3kW of power. Although rated at 3kW, this can refer to the power taken from the mains as opposed to the power delivered to the pan.

In our experience, the professional sector requires a full 3kW of power, the standard for all Induced Energy hobs. Recent tests indicate that Induced Energy induction hobs outperform competitors, producing the fastest rolling boil. To give just one example, our new 4 x 3kW quad model offers the same performance as the previous 3.5 kW x 4 model – that’s real power.

3. How effective is the depth of field?
The depth of field is the distance you can raise the pan above the hob top while still cooking effectively. It's a feature designed to replicate this aspect of gas cooking. Some commercial induction hobs have little or no depth of field. Induced Energy hobs offer a depth of field of up to 30mm across the whole range.

4. Is the ventilation effective?
Effective ventilation is necessary for all induction hobs, to cool off the electronics and to guarantee trouble-free operation. Induced Energy induction hobs have a front-to-front ventilation system, which supports any configuration, including side by side.

5. Are the controls acceptable?
Extensive research showed that professional users do not like touch sensitive controls. Induced Energy induction hobs feature an ergonomically designed knob which allows accurate power settings throughout the 1 to 99 range.

6. Is it user friendly?
Many induction hobs have a simple single-digit display, which can confuse users. The Induced Energy CS3000 range provides a unique, user-friendly display which will
guarantee successful operation. This dashboard-type display includes English language messages such as “Clean Filter” and “No Pan Present.”

7. Does it look good?
The UK leads the world in the quality of professional catering installation design. It really is essential that your induction units complement this high standard.

Induced Energy hobs were designed in conjunction with DCA Design International, to meet this high standard.

Features include choice of case colour, dashboard-type English language displays plus an illuminated rear panel which can incorporate a logo of your choice.

8. Does your manufacturer offer a full range of compatible professional products?
Induced Energy's comprehensive product range includes table-top, drop-in and 4-ring quad models.

The 3kW table-top model is available in three case colours, silver, charcoal and burgundy. It features a modern, curved-front design with an integrated display panel. The unique illuminated rear panel can incorporate
a logo of the user's choice and design.

The 3kW drop-in model is available in two versions: the flush-mounted model for installation in a rebated aperture; the bezelled model for installation in a non-rebated aperture. Both versions feature our exclusive, world-patented “drawer” concept for ease of installation, and unique front-to-front ventilation.

The 3kW X 4 (4-ring) quad model is available in one table-top or two suited versions. With its unique and stunningly effective ventilation system, this model has been designed to be used above a commercial oven, where this is required.

9.The Price?
There are marginally cheaper induction units on the market. The new, competitively priced, CS3000 range costs half the price of the model range which it replaces. Yet it
offers a world-beating performance and a wealth of unique features.

10. Any support?
Induction hobs are easy to use, however we still offer free of charge familiarisation sessions in our demonstration room. Alternatively, group training sessions on client sites are offered at no charge.

Many of our user chefs have sent us menu ideas. These are combined in a colourful brochure and are available free of charge. We invite all of our users to contribute their ideas to this brochure, which is updated on a quarterly basis.

11.Where’s it from?
There are induction hobs which are made in the Far East and simply badged in the UK. Induced Energy induction hobs are the only professional induction hobs designed, manufactured and supported in the UK. We are specialists in induction for the professional catering sector, we don’t do anything else.

12.Why Induction?
Environment

95% energy efficiency.

No poisonous exhaust gases.

No background heat - induction heats the pan only.
The result is a cool working environment with significantly lower extraction costs.

Vastly reduced carbon deposits on pans and cooking
surfaces - eliminates carcinogenic carbon particles
in the air.

Since the Ceran glass hob surface retains only minimal heat reflected from the pan, cleaning is easy and quick.

Safety
No naked flames or hot metal surfaces.

Spillages cannot be ignited.

Temperature monitor cuts out automatically.

If no pan present energy automatically cuts off.

Pan sensor avoids heating of utensils left on pan surface.

Induction hobs can be used in many situations where safety restrictions are in force.

Flexibility
We offer a 3kW table-top model, two versions of the 3kW drop-in model, and three versions of the 3kW X 4 quad model.

Controllability
Induction hobs are much more responsive than gas,
particularly as the hob surface is not directly heated.
Power settings from 1 to 99 give more precise temperature control, monitored several thousand times per second.

Versatility
Induction hobs offer superb versatility in main kitchens, front of house and for event catering where portability is required. The new, low-priced drop-in is ideal for keep-hot, while offering the versatility of alternating with griddling, wok-cooking etc..
